The RUTH SUPREME TEAM

This is Ruth, my new great friend. We went to a friends wedding on the Island this past week and for part of our trip we stayed with BJ and Ruth. I grew up with Beej.But I just met Ruth when they got married back in 2004. This was the most time I've spent with her. And we had sooo much fun. She is like me in so many ways. We were crazy together. We shared a lot of deep stuff but laughed a lot too. I've never bonded with someone so fast. They might be coming up in Nov. Can't wait!

My Forever Friend

Once in a lifetime you find a friend

that can know what you're thinking before you say it,

will look foolish in public just so you don't have to look stupid alone, will laugh with you, grieve with you, hold you and comfort you. A friend that will be honest with you, confront you, be courageous for you, defend you, protect you, inspire and challenge you! That kind of friend you hold onto with both hands, making sure you never lose them.

Look alike??!!

Today I went on myheritage.com and did the celebrity look alike survey thing.
They say to do it several times and then post the repeats. I'm not sure how they come to the conclusion but its kinda cool. Here they are along with the pic I used as well. Let me know what you think!!

The Oak Tree

Mary Kate & Ashley aka Ruth & Leah

These are the famous twins, Mary-Kate & Ashley, but if you're part of the club (like Steph & Leah, but definately not Tamara, haha!) you call them MK & A! Leah and I are like them. 'A' loves to dance & dress fancy, so does Leah. MK loves art and dressing casual, like me! So here they are...can you tell whose who????

What does it say to you??

This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a church. It was in the foyer of Southlands Church International in Los Angeles. I want to have one in my house. Its like a mission statement made up of words that identify who you are and what you're about.

So awesome!!!!!

Born to Dance

This is my sister. She is a dancer in heart in character and in worship!
When she dances, she is in another world, lost to us, but so in tune with Jesus. The crazy thing is, she ministers to us on so many levels. She inspires us to abandon ourselves to Jesus and shackles are loosed off those who see a message spoken through her dance. She is living out the heart of David, "...I will become even more undignified than this!" Leah doesn't care who's watching and what they think of her, because in reality, she not dancing for them, she's dancing for her King and he delights in her!

The Starfish

One summer day I went out walking along a strand of beach

Where hundreds of starfish were stranded beyond tide's reach

As I strolled along the sands a kindly lady passed by me

Throwing stranded, struggling starfish back into the shiny sea.

I asked "Why do you do this when you can only saveT

hose few lucky starfish you throw back into the waves,

Why do you even bother, since most of them will die?

Does it really matter that much?"

I asked and she replied:

"I cannot save all the starfish, many of them die, I know,

With so many more miles of sandy seashore still to go,

But for every single starfish saved from the killing sun,I think it matters, yes it matters.

It matters to this one."

Our Megs

This is Megan. Most of you know her, some of you don't. I babysat her for 2 years while her mom, our good friend Carmen was going to school. Megan was a gift from God to Mark and I. She lit up our lives like only she can. God knew I needed a love outlet and a love inlet. She provided both. She let me love on her and she filled both of our lives with a childs love which was exactly what my heart needed. The grief that comes from struggling to have a baby really wears on your heart. Megan was a healing balm to those hurting places. I always say to Mark, "I can't imagine loving our own child more than I love Megan." and its true. I can't imagine loving someone more than I love her. I feel like she's my own. I'm so grateful that Carmen and Dave let me have her for that season in my life. It was God's perfect timing. When I get discouraged and overwhelmed with not having a baby, I remember that time with Megs and I know the faitfulness of God!

One of my Many Favorite People

This is my cousin Kyle, whom I love! He is absolutely crazy! We laugh all the time and he is just the coolest guy ever!! Unfortunately, he lives in P.G. so we don't see each other very often, but oh, when we do, its like the laughter floodgates open and I might as well wear a diaper for all the pant-peeing I will do!!
