Everything I need to know about life...

...I learned from Tristan
For those of you who know him, you will attest to this
There is nothing that he does half-heartedly!
He runs at full speed, arms flailing sporatically
He laughs from the depths of his belly, even when he's faking
He sings at the top of his lungs, belting it with all thats in him
He dances with complete abandon, totally lost to those around him
So who do I want to be when I grow up?
I want to be Tristan
I want to run at full speed to get a hold of the destiny that Jesus has for me
I want to laugh from the depths of my belly through the heartache and trials
I want to sing at the top of my lungs of His majesty and extravagant love
I want to dance with complete abandon for the King who has captivated and stolen my heart.

My Friend...

I see the clouds rolling in and oh how it looks like rain
And it is always I fight for the welcome change
When it rains it pours on this heart of mine
So, I take the storms I feel to her each time.
But I know she has lived under her own pouring rain
Yet under her water her heart still doesn't change
She can walk away from what hangs overhead
And, not in her storm, are words left unsaid.
Not in her storm have I ever felt alone
Her storm ends, so I, may find my way home
It's for me that she pushes away her own rain
So, that I may find comfort in calling her name.
She lives in this world for the sake of another's heart
God, how she eases the miles when worlds apart
And she never wanders when your world falls through
Not ever in her storm would she do this to you.
She has wings that I know not only I can see
Cause only an angel could find strength to carry me
It's the way that the eyes can surely view
How her heart's written so clearly in what an angel can do.
Not in her storm is her work ever done
And even in her storm she hands me the sun
When her world is dark - I always have light
And now how I hold the new color of night.
She takes then she gives to an unhappy face
So that many can find a healing place
I have been able to love her more every day
And with her hand in mine the clouds roll away.
Not in any storm that I will ever live beneath
Could ever change what I hold here inside of me
Not in any of her storms have I lost my angels touch
To that angel out there, I love you so much!

My Baby Sis and Her Perfect Match

My Little Sister, Leah, (she is 7 years my junior; I'm 25, so you can do the math) in the past year has fallen in love and is planning to get married next year. She is a lot more determined than I was about marriage. She wants to finish her training as an esthetician first. She leaves for school in Prince George the end of June. Her man is Ryan Wiebe. His family has been close friends of our family for years and Leah has loved Ryan for a long time. We're so excited to be able to witness first hand the bond that God is growing between them as they grow closer together. It reminds me of the beginning of my relationship with Mark. Its so new and exciting. Its really hard but what an adventure. I wouldn't trade this journey for anything!

Little Miracle

I just wanted to share this great little bit of info.
My great friend and cousin, Jenny and my other great friend/brother and cousin in law, Jeremy are expecting their first little one. We are all very excited for them. God is so good! He is faithful and knows our hearts desires!
<----This is their beautiful little baby!
We Love You & are praying for you

My Garden

I am afraid to plant this seed.
The sun is warm,
The earth is rich and ready,
But the days go by, And still no planting.
Why?
The springtime of my life is passing, too.
And five years' planting in a willing soil have borne no living fruit.
So many times I've waited, Hoped, Believed, That God and nature Would perform a miracle incredible but common.

Nothing grew. And often times I feel the mystery of life and growth is known to all but me, or that reality is not as it appears to be.
I have a choice:To put aside this seed, leaving the planting to the proven growers, pretending not to care for gardening, and knowing if I do not try I cannot fail.Or plant, And risk again the well known pain of watching for the first brave green and seeing only barren ground.He also spoke about a seed, the mustard's tiny grain, almost too small to see, But, oh - the possibilities!Those who doubt, who fear, are not inclined to cultivate it.But it was to them He spoke.And God remembered Sarah...Rachel...Hannah...Elizabeth...The seed is in my hand, The trowel in the other; I am going to the garden and the Gardener,
Once More.

'Anyway' by Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centred;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest, it will make you vulnerable and they might cheat you;
Be honest anyway
What you spent years building, they may destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
The good you do today, they often will forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it will never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them, Anyway.

I love this poem. It makes me re-evaluate the things I do and question the things I don't. I love the part about building. Its so true that people may never value the things we build or tear it down in the physical sense, but i want to build the things that are eternal. Because in the end, its between me and God, not me and them!
