..What in the holy world??? Some people are just..well, stupid.
Stupid is an understatement. People say the rudest things. I had someone say to me last year..."it must be really hard to have a husband that's so much better looking than you!"...
I responded with, "skinnier yes...but Scott always maintains that he doesn't understand how he could have ended up with someone like me!"
I was sooo ripped!!!
Another one that boils my blood is..."oh Jenny(while looking at a picture) you used to be so pretty!"...

Next time put the idiots in line and say, "we're well aware what is said in the bible, unfortunately we are dealing with issues of infertility and this is something we deal with on a day to day basis!"

seriously, some people... i know how it feels (on a simpler issue, mind you) - a couple weeks ago someone said 'with the haircut' (ie dreads gone), 'and well, you keep losing weight... you're a pretty lady!'.....
'aw, thanks'....((("GIMME THAT CLUB!!!!!!"))) ... they think they are being encouraging, but in fact punched you in the gut.... *sighs*

Aw Ruth! Don't ya just want to smack people like that???? I'm sorry you had to go through that...some people just don't think at all and thats pretty sad!
Two of my friends deal with that same issue, and Christians have been the worst..encourages...

we all have our "people" i guess.. it is a hard balance to educate without actually snapping.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Sadly there are a lot of people (incl. me) who say stupid things without thinking. It's hard when they hit a sore spot, isn't it? Try to let it go...
